Virat Kohli became India’s leading run-scorer in ICC Champions Trophy history during his team’s semifinal match against Australia in Dubai on Tuesday.
Kohli surpassed Shikhar Dhawan’s record of 701 runs and is now the second highest scorer in the tournament’s history, behind Chris Gayle (791).
During the innings, Kohli also broke the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most 50-plus scores in ICC ODI tournaments. He notched up his 24th score of 50 or more in such events, and his seventh in Champions Trophy history.
